Racing by Local Governments can be enjoyed every day!
Racing sponsored by local Prefectural governments and the NAR, an administrative racing authority comprising racing operators run by local governments in Japan which operate horse racing across 15 racecourses on an almost daily basis. In addition, part of the turnover from racing by local governments is used by many facets of Society and promotes the Japanese livestock industry.
Racing by local governments includes day time racing, night time racing and 'Banei Racing' where draft horses pull weighted sleds.
※ There are "Racing by Local Governments" and "JRA Racing" in Japan. "JRA Racing" is racing sponsored by the Japan Racing Association (JRA), which is mainly held in 10 JRA Racecourses nationwide in day time every Saturday and Sunday.
